Chrysler will recall the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2010 Jeep Commander for a total of 3498 vehicles due to improper rear axle thrust bar installation, according to the U.S. highway administration.
Due to the improper installation of the rear axle thrust bar, it may cause abnormal noise and reduce the stability of the vehicle during driving. The U.S. Highway Safety Administration's statement of this safety hazard is to reduce vehicle stability and increase the risk of vehicle collision. Chrysler said it had not received any reports of accidents caused by such failures.
The recall in North America will begin in April this year. Chrysler dealers will check the retaining ring of the thrust rod bush for the owners of the above two vehicles. If there is any problem, replace the rear axle thrust rod for the owners.
